In this video, I explained how Indian women are misusing the laws given to them. The most misused law is Section 498A (Anti Dowry Law). The Section 498a of the IPC is a criminal law in which the wife and her family can charge any or all of the husband’s family of physical or mental cruelty. Why do people misuse IPC 498a? • Legal Extortion – Get-rich-quick-scheme to extort large amounts of money. • Prior Relationship – Wife has a prior relationship, and cannot get out of it.
